‘Amount Charged’ bug fixed

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 - 15:47

After the last slight additions to the Project Finance section were uploaded, a new bug was introduced.

The value being displayed in the Amount Charged field was being formatted with a comma seperating the thousands. When being saved, this was throwing an error, resulting in a value of 1 being saved instead.

This bug has now been squashed.

PDF download problems ?

Sunday, February 8th, 2009 - 17:55

Mozilla Firefox seems to dislike downloading too many of the dynamically created Project Pdfs in quick succession. It starts the download process and then freezes part way through.

Until I’ve located the reason for this behaviour, I thought I’d share a workaround that I discovered.

First, cancel the download by clicking the cross button.

Then retry the download.

For some reason that I haven’t had time to explore just yet, the download completes without a problem.

Project task list bug fixed

Friday, October 17th, 2008 - 15:04

Task titles with apostrophes in them were unable to be timed from the Project Task List page. This bug has now been squashed.

Completed Project task list bugs fixed

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 - 11:53

When viewing a completed Project’s tasks, although the amount of recorded time was being displayed correctly, the list was missing the first task. Also, when sorting the list by clicking any of the column headings, the wrong template was being served.

These bugs have now been squashed.

Minor bug fixes

Monday, June 23rd, 2008 - 12:06

While working through the system during the latest User Interface overhaul a few bugs were noticed and squashed. These include :

  • Project task list styling was breaking when sorting by recorded time
  • Task edit - changes to Client dropdown were not being recorded
  • Project start date was not being recorded when adding a new project

Expired session bug fixed

Saturday, December 29th, 2007 - 16:05

Previously, during an ajax action ( starting or stopping the timer, for instance ), if a user’s session had expired, the script tried to load the login page into a table cell, making a mess of the page layout. This bug has now been fixed, so that if a user tries to carry out an ajax action, the above notice is displayed.

Task estimated hours bug fixed

Wednesday, December 5th, 2007 - 16:46

When adding a task’s estimated hours, values less than 1 were not being recorded. This is now working correctly.

Multiple user bug fixed

Friday, November 9th, 2007 - 14:13

When displaying tasks assigned to the logged in user, the script wasn’t taking into account which of the multiple-assigned users was viewing the tasks, it was simply checking to see whether a task was running.

This meant that some users were faced with a running timer they hadn’t started, and so stopped it, with the consequence that the user who did start the timer was no longer recording their hours.

Our apologies for any confusion this has caused, and our thanks to the sharp-sighted users who brought the matter to our attention !

‘Close Task’ bug fixed

Friday, September 21st, 2007 - 13:25

When closing a task from the ‘Open Tasks’ page, although the task was being closed correctly, the wrong page template was being served.

This has now been fixed.

Quotes ( dormant projects ) added to Dashboard

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007 - 14:21

After adding the facility to set a Project’s status to either ‘Quote’ or ‘Live’ we forgot to adjust the details listed under ‘Active Projects’ on the dashboard.

Number of Quotes and associated value are now listed seperately from Active Projects.
