Possible down time over the weekend

Friday, January 13th, 2012 - 08:47

If the current round of updates are finished today, they will be uploaded this weekend. This will involve shutting the service down for a short period of time.

adderuppa is taking payment !

Thursday, August 13th, 2009 - 18:29

At last, after way, way too long, I have finally hooked up adderuppa’s payment processing system, and the subscription service is now live. Account holders have been given an extra 30 days free use; your subscription renewal date has been set to September 13th.

Two new options have been added under the ‘account’ navigation tab - ’subscription details’ and ’subscription history’, both simple and self-explanatory.

The details page allows you to amend your monthly contribution; if your subscription lapses, you will be presented with this page automatically, and will not be able to use the service.

The history page lists every contribution you have made, with a link allowing you to print off an invoice for each.

Subscription process delayed

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009 - 20:03

I encountered a couple of hiccups when trying to switch on the subscription process last night.

Watch this space, it will be here very soon …

Service interruption - advance notice

Monday, August 10th, 2009 - 15:02

Access to adderuppa will be temporarily suspended from 6pm GMT Tuesday, 11th August. This is necessary to enable me to set the subscription process live.  The work should not take long, as mentioned in the previous post.

All accounts will receive 30 days free use from this date.

Minor disruption to service - advance notice

Thursday, August 6th, 2009 - 11:51

I have finally managed to find time to hook up a subscription facility for adderuppa, and am in the final stages of testing. The intention is to set it live early next week.

During the switchover, I will need to prevent access to adderuppa for a short period to double check it before throwing the final switch. This should not take long, an hour or so maybe, and I will carry out the work at a time that will hopefully cause the least disruption. Full notice will be given shortly before this takes place.

Details of the proposed subscription structure can be read here. More details, about card security, trial periods, etc, will be posted shortly.

Service unavailable over the weekend

Monday, August 3rd, 2009 - 10:46

Adderuppa was unreachable from approximately 9.30pm Saturday until 11.30am Sunday. This was because the server it resides on froze, and needed to be reset.

My apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Revised downtime alert

Thursday, September 25th, 2008 - 16:26

We will be uploading some updates over this coming weekend which require a period of downtime for testing. We will try to ensure minimum disruption to the service.

Service downtime warning

Saturday, September 20th, 2008 - 13:12

We will be uploading a couple of updates later today ( Saturday ), and possibly at some point during Sunday. Adderuppa will be temporarily unavailable while we carry out the changes, but we will keep the downtime to a minimum.

[ edit ]
Unfortunately time didn’t allow for uploads this weekend. They might take place during this coming week instead, but during an evening, with advance notice.

Problems after most recent system changes ?

Sunday, June 29th, 2008 - 11:17

If you are experiencing problems accessing your data following this weekend’s minor system tweaks ( for example, you are seeing a message along the lines of ‘You have no open projects listed in the database‘ ) please do the following:

  • Log out of adderuppa
  • Delete any cookies relating to adderuppa.com or timer.adderuppa.com
  • Log in as normal

This should fix the issue.

Advance notice of service interruption

Friday, June 20th, 2008 - 08:32

I will be uploading some further changes to the user interface this weekend ( 21st and 22nd June ), and will need to prevent access to the site while testing. Interruptions will be kept to a minimum, but may be spread across both days for short periods at a time.
